Commissioned by the city of West Hollywood's Moving Image Media Art Project (MIMA), 59.1 screened from October 1st, 2022 - January 31st, 2023 on a digital billboard above 8734 Sunset Boulevard on the Sunset Strip.

The Cage is a Stage
The Cage is a Stage is a multi-compositional project composed of two gallery exhibitions, a billboard, a short performance at the Blackwood Gallery, an evening-length performance that premieres onstage at The Power Plant’s Harbourfront Centre Theatre, and a publication.The Cage is a Stage was developed by Emily Mast in collaboration with and performed by Angelina Prendergast, Heyward Bracey, Kiara Gamboa, Garrett Hallman, and Joe Seely. By scrutinizing animality, the project examines some of the deep-seated compulsions of the human species, such as the need to control, tame, punish, and play.

59.1 is an experimental film created in collaboration with Leslie Foster for the 2017 Level Ground Artist-In-Residence program. The completed anthology was displayed as an installation in late spring 2017. Vice Magazine's Creators series featured the show in the piece, "This Short Film Series Isn't For You."

Primate Cinema
Primate Cinema is a Sundance Selected drama by Rachel Mayeri made expressly for chimpanzees – and the chimps' reaction to its screening at the Edinburgh Zoo. Commissioned by Arts Catalyst, and supported with an art-science grant from the Wellcome Trust, the director, in consultation with primatologists, researched chimpanzees' reactions to a variety of television genres.
